@boomer6611 Interesting. Are you an artificial country like Switzerland and Belgium? This would explain why some viewed the Germans as liberators. I haven't actually met any Dutch that isn't a Nazi, but apparently there were enough on the French side of things.

You should be asking - "why was France anointed as "Victor"?" The name of their Capital gives a very big clue as to what "France" actually is and why the other unofficial Grk Colonies support it.

@SlayerRiley Yes, a lot of East European countries/"nations" including Russia are only a few centuries old, but not all! I was thinking more in the lines of incompatible ethnic minorities being forced to be in one country together. There would be some tensions and resentment, like Yugoslavia for instance.
