The earliest mention I could find is Duke of "Rothes" (Scottish corruption of the Greek name Rodos). He was a banker who financed both sides of the Civil War and had to run away to Germany. His grandsons returned to England under the pseudonym "Roth's child".

Levan, destroy bases with what weapons? If such weapons existed, the world would be in a different place. Also giving them a phone call 30 minutes in advance makes the strike pointless, since concrete can be restored in a few weeks, but personnel can only be restored in years.

@peetsnort Natanyahu is only an administrator. The Rodos Clan owns the apart height state. It was a Greek colony throughout the Bronze and Iron Age and they want it back from the Arabs. That's why the UK and Switzerland abstained from the recognition of Palestine. The "5th Baron Nathaniel" Duke of Rodos is trying to give the impression that he is "not" interfering. But the UK ambassador spelled it out - "the time is no right". Translation: "We will recognise the Palestinians when they disappear."

@rosomak8244 Well the Galizian dialect is certainly not Polish but a mix. The native dialect in Ukraine is Old Bulgarian, more commonly known as Russian.

@alan.richard I don't think people have any idea on what is actually possible in modern warfare. What you are seeing strike on Ukraine and strike on Russia - this is it. There are no magic weapons, or secret technology kept in reserve. We have a lot of fairy tales and propaganda, we grew up with during the Cold War, but where the shovel meets the ground is no Hollywood movie. This old "new" high altitude missile can only do so much damage. The only thing they have going for them is that they can not be intercepted and can destroy bunkers. They can not destroy an entire base unless a number of them are launched. It is more of a psychological weapon, making the 2nd and 3rd tier minions feel unsafe because their conferences can be targeted.

It is a self-defeating exercise. My explanation to you why the US colony does not give orders to the UK was deleted. @aidanmagill6769 That's just splitting hairs. It used to be Minoan colony before the Greeks came from Asia Minor and annexed the Aegean Empire. Maybe I am not correct to bunch the Minoans with the Greeks but you have to remember that "Greek" is an artificial identity like "Soviet" or "British" which the Anatolian colonists created when they colonised South Thrace.
