@DennisRudin What's so "civilized" about disarming the peasants and having the aristocracy ruling, armed to the teeth? Don't you think they are building this power imbalance up for a reason. They consistently slaughtered us for 6 000 years of recording history, but somehow they are going to be "nice" now, right?

@DennisRudin No, I am East European and I've had 50 years of - "only the Government should have guns". I know exactly how your story will end, once they have stripped you of all of your rights. The criminals never had any problem murdering people, even during communism.

@LL-vx5qc If you have less rights than those who rule you, then you are a slave. It may not be as blatantly apparent as in the Dark Ages but it is the reality.
