@d1d234 Local purchasing power is important not just for countries but for regions too. It does not attempt to equalise anything. It reflects the local standard of living. GDP is much more bogus indicator when debt and inflation are counted as GDP "growth". Maybe it is "growth" for the central bank owners but for the average person it translates to more misery and growing income inequality.
