@jcovy4493 ...and what was his "Russian" involvement? Russia is still a poor country, posing no real threat to anybody. China even bought their only aircraft carrier. Putin gets money from the Daily Mail to fly Tu-95 museum pieces close to the UK so they can write bombastic headlines about the Russian "threat". It's a joke.

@francispeter8169 The Russian positions is - trying not to fall apart while trying to convince its subjects that it is a "superpower" and thus the poverty was worth it. This involves a kabuki theater like the fictional Syrian campaign or the annexation of Crimea, which was a G8 gift to Russia. They managed perfectly well during Obama and Trump did not bring any improvements. Ofcourse, the Democrat BS about Russia deciding the US elections was taken as a form of prestige by Moscow, but it is unearned pride. Russia is outside the scope of American foreign policy (what can you do with it). It is not a major trading partner. It doesn't pose external threat and is too big to invade, but even if you could invade it, it's like conquering giant Detroit. More trouble than it is worth.
