  1. Could the heightened Putin meddling in Georgia be seen as a counterbalance to what Putin sees but won't admit is a coming loss of Ukraine and Belarus too? Taking more on the far side from Europe to compensate for a loss on the borders with NATO? Sort of seems like a "retreat move" to me. And maybe the rest of the Stans east of the Caspian need to worry about that too. And get ready. Maybe beat Putin to the punch.
