Jake, ponder the fact of that Russian mother hugging the Ukrainian soldiers who brought her a box of food, and consider the absolutely heart rending horror and bitter heartbreak of a mother of one of the Russians killed in a meatwave attack in the Donbas and along the "Azov Line" because of the aggression caused by Putin - if she could see this picture. I mean, its a shot in the dark whether they'd care or not, but if rationally they realized who their sons had died to kill, and how much better their sons' targets and victims were as human beings than their own sons, and how only Putin's moronic folly had ripped their old age support systems away from them and sent them to their deaths, you have to believe that if the whole community of survivors could be made conscious of that terrible irony, Putin wouldn't last much longer at all.

  3. Question. Why is there any reason to believe Russian emigres to other countries including ours would behave any differently, given how pervasive this appears to be over there? I mean, how would you feel if you learned a "family of Russians" had moved in next door to you in Queens, or Milwaukee, or Pittsburgh, or Orlando, or Houston? I'm thinking I wouldn't like it too much. This seems like a cultural thing - in the DNA.
