  2. Jake, remember how the W Bush administration used, abused and betrayed Gen. Colin Powell to start the Iraq War? You should expect the Trump administration to use, abuse and betray Gen. Kellogg in the same fashion. Suck him dry of credibility and then toss him aside. Steal his pension if he objects or blows the whistle. These are the obvious implications of Trump's loathesome nature. We know Trump has nothing but sneering, jealous contempt for generals. Kellogg won't escape "the treatment." Why would anyone think he would? And now that his role has already been vastly narrowed by his own account, why the hell stay around to take the hit to his reputation for nothing?

  4. "The Russian Dude" has been talking for a week or more about Russia being abuzz with talk of "The Carrot", their confidence that Trump will offer them some huge relief to play ball on Ukraine. And I wouldn't be surprised. I wouldn't be surprised if he agreed to shovel the billions of dollars to RUSSIA that we should be giving to Ukraine, now that Russia is on the ropes. But Trump thinks he'll get Putin's love in all events, and wants it so desperately, expect our cash to be sent to Russia. As you said - he doesn't care about public opinion.

  5. Even if Trump DOES get around to inking a deal with Ukraine that is objectively reasonable, Trump will never stick to a deal, because he is a welcher, a cheat and a thief, and that's all he's ever been.
