  1. Putin himself has, with menace, long warned the free world that "Russians are not like you", and we believe him. That is why NATO was and remains essential. Russians in Russia and too often among the rest of us are the closest thing to VAMPIRES in real life. It's not that there are NO good ones. It's just that there are SO FEW of them.

  2. This is the "Pan Slavic Brotherhood" Putin has been touting for more than 20 years. But it turns out, as George Orwell wrote in "Animal Farm" long ago, that "Some animals are MORE equal than others" within that "brotherhood." Which, of course, completely puts the lie to any notion of the legitimacy of his Pan Slavic Brotherhood.
