Fellows, in a nutshell - never, ever, ever do this kind of thing, unless you are inhumanly but correctly certain that she's gonna say yes. Because if you're wrong, you will never outlive the universal humiliation, and you probably shouldn't. It is manipulative and worse to the nth degree. It's as though your cornering her and daring her to say "no." And when you do that, you deserve for her to say "no" to you in front of every camera on the globe. It is so, SO wrong.
