  1. I've watched a boatload of videos by people who are right in the middle of this. One guy helping out in Chimney Rock just laughed at the idea that there is a stench from bodies piling up. They said there was a bad smell from all the propane tanks washed away. Plus the mud that washed out of the rivers smells bad. The destruction is off the charts, but when she said that about bodies piling up, she wasn't helping the situation.

Everything I've read indicated that Amber and her former lover were not in a physical relationship any longer, though they were still sexting and emotionally close. I can't find any accounts that she asked for sex after Botham Jean's death. Do you have a source for this? There were A LOT of other tenants in the apartment complex who also went to the wrong apartment, particularly on the 3rd and 4th floors that she and the victim lived on. Apparently, the complex has so few distinguishing features that it's an easy mistake. I've been so tired that I've been on automatic pilot before and can easily imagine this happening to me if I were in her shoes. Yes, the outcome was tragic, but it's not like she went looking for it. When is an accident an accident? If they had lived in single family houses, this wouldn't have happened at all. Should apartment dwellers be penalized for living in a confusing complex? This is totally different than the cop who recently killed the black woman in Fort Worth. He really has no excuse because he killed her while on duty and he never identified himself as a cop and did not follow correct procedure. That's something to get angry about.
