  2. If you want to know about the contrast between Saddam and the chaos that exists now, go read the blog "A Family In Baghdad" from the beginning. She started writing about the war in 2003 and you really get an idea of the place got destroyed. It's pretty bad when a crazy person like Saddam gave people a safer life than what exists now. Anyway, the writer had to flee the country eventually herself. There were a few Iraqi blogs that detailed the horror that ensued.
