  2. She didn't really think throwing pot smokers in jail would "scare them straight" - she was ambitious and a "tough on crime" stance was supposed to propel her up the ladder.

  3.  @mrdistraught8447  Just now, thanks. I had not heard about this before. I didn't like her because of her horrible record. When she talks about justice system reform, I want to smack her. Such a hypocrite given her record.
