  1. Love you Jimmy, but I think you are wrong. The electoral college is the only thing that keeps us from voting in candidates with policies that only benefit large cities. Otherwise, no one would bother to campaign anywhere but New York and California. All elections would be decided by those places due to sheer population. So if a certain policy worked for cities with high populations and was a disaster for rural states, then it would be too bad. The electoral college is actually more fair because it gives a voice to disparate elements. EXAMPLE: City dwellers don't give a damn about NAFTA because it affects them less. The rest of the country suffers under NAFTA. Should cities get to choose on this issue just because their population is bigger?
