It has not been doomed. Even if they did nothing, it will still be able to pay out at a lower percentage than today. Plus, all they have to do to keep it at its current level is lift the upper cap on payroll deductions. Very simple.

Oh yeah? I personally know someone who should be entitled to disability and hasn't been able to get it in spite of all the medical records and multiple appearances in front of a judge. It is extremely difficult to get disability. Furthermore, you can have a "life" while being disabled enough to prevent working a job. The people you know on disability had to have evaluations by doctors and probably medical scans too.
