Why didn't parenthood make my emotionally-unstable and abusive father a happy well-adjusted person instead of the destructive person he was? J. D. Vance's mother was addicted to heroin after he was born. Gee. It's almost like he doesn't know what he's talking about. I chose not to have children because of multiple factors. Thank you Mr. Vance for letting me know how much you devalue and despise me as a voter.

@Genuine_GenX_Girl Yeah, parenthood is a stressful at the best of times. Not advisable to enter into when one isn't already mentally healthy!

@zoomskiller Pete Buttigeig was in the process of adopting when J. D. Vance called him a childless cat lady. In fact, he and his partner had just had a set back on their adoption journey at the time. They finally were able to adopt successfully later. Maybe Vance should keep his mouth shut about other's lives. Regardless, J. D. Vance literally thinks people who are childless have no stake in the future of the country. He literally said that.
