Why do I know so many divorced/widowed women in their 60s who are in brand new committed relationships with men in their age range?

You were talking to a dumb doctor if she thought she could wait 8 years. FEW women think it's easy to conceive at 40. Anyway, there's a growing number of women who NEVER want children and/or marriage. I don't think you've caught onto that yet.

@FrankM So then please explain to me why I know so many women in their sixties who were recently divorced/widowed and are now in long-term relationships with men their own age. I live in a resort/retirement area, so see plenty of this.

@WtfReal No, fertility begins a sharper drop off after 36.

Most women DO know. smh Just because some dumb people exist, doesn't mean most women don't know.

Most women DO know. Can't explain why the doctor he knows is so dumb. It is common knowledge that fertility begins a sharp decline after age 36.

There are many risk factors for placental abruption. Age can be one, but it's not the most common reason.

Disagree.

@memesofproduction3 You don't get out much. My main doctor is a woman. Plenty of female accountants, attorneys, surgeons, etc . . .

Finnhungambar Their mindset is sad, but they can change if they want to. Have read several articles about senior women who took care of their husbands in their final illnesses and are now widows. So many of them never want to marry again because the thought of ending up as a caretaker again is exhausting. When the widows start dating, they find out the senior men they date are the ones wanting marriage more, while the women don't. Since fewer men end up in the caretaker role, no wonder they are more open to marriage in their later years.
