  2.  @Motormouth...  The U.S. is implementing more stringent side crash standards to simulate a heavier SUV crashing into a smaller SUV. The new standards won't apply until a year from now, but they went ahead and did the tests just to see what's what, and the 2021 and 2022 Mazda CX-5 was the only small SUV that passed.
