Studies now show that if two people live together out of convenience or because they drifted into it, they are more likely to divorce. But couples who consciously made up their mind to commit before moving in together, are less likely to divorce.

  2.  @joepisacreta3822  Where did you get the idea they weren't getting married? I mentioned studies about MARRIED PEOPLE and the effects of prior cohabitation on divorce rates. I'm talking about people who move in together AFTER they commit, but BEFORE the wedding. The study found that prior cohabitation does not raise divorce rates for those who committed before moving in together.
