@livylu6287 You miss the point. It's the RATE of brutality that's the issue. In the 70s, we could walk down the hallway of our school without even the thought that we would be attacked. You weren't there. I was, so don't tell me I don't know how it used to be. The type of kids that would fight were a tiny minority and they would not be so bold as to stage an attack in school hallways. BTW, no one I know "picked on Black people" and regardless, you have to reach much further back in history for that than the 70s. Furthermore, my stepsister was raped, shot in the head, and left for dead by three black men in the seventies, so spare me.

@2puffs770 Same. I'm 65 and went to junior high/high school in Miami in the 1970s. NEVER saw anything like the feral kids in the video.

@BeYounique...Maryanne Man, kids were really laid back in my school. I think some cities are worse. I know someone who went to Detroit schools and it was terrible, but they graduated 7 years before me, so I don't know if it got better. Still, even they said most fights were off school property.

We walked our school hallways in peace in the 1970s. The tiny minority of kids who would have picked a fight, wouldn't have dared to do it so openly and blatantly right in a hallway. I never witnessed a single fight. Why are there so many FERAL KIDS now?

The parents are to blame for raising feral children. The school is to blame for not doing anything.

@BeYounique...Maryanne Two things come to mind. 1) That behavior is unusual in an upper middle class school. I would expect verbal bullying more than physical. 2) The fact that your husband questioned if you went to a school for animals, shows how unusual your school was for the time.

@minanoch7613 From what little I could see in the video, they look white to me. The victim's father said there had been dislike between his daughter and the girl who first hit her for a long time.

@livylu6287 You need to acquaint yourself with crime statistics. Black women are by and large raped by Black men. Most crime victims are the same race as their attacker, except there are a bit more Whites attacked by Blacks statistically. And statistically there are more Whites raped by Blacks than vice versa. Lastly, you are not one bit sorry about my step-sister. There was nothing racist about the story. The point was to refute your view that Whites are hardly ever victimized by Blacks. That you find a true story to be "racist" says a lot about you. You just found the story to be inconvenient.
