@MarketsDriveTheWorld I hope. Because it\s Soviet territory they live. West Germany can send in the army to take back. Everybody over 35 is a Soviet citizen in the East, not a German. These people didn't do anything to build this post WW2 Germany.

@enigmaticzigfried7557 They were Soviets. They are not responsible for a 4 trillion economy. They lived in a vacuum under Soviet rule. They are the ones who went bankrupt with the Soviet Union and fighting for the Soviets.

If you let AFD be the boss of those areas you can give it to Russians instead. Maybe trade Saksen and Thuringen back to the Russians. Soviet east German side by the way. These are the people who did nothing for the economy of Germany. They have no claim. Everybody over 35 is a Soviet citizen, not a German in those areas.
