Belgium people need to thank us for letting the European bank print money for them. It's one of the countries that devalued the Euro. Thanks, but no thanks for making the Euro worth less i would say. Belgium is one of the worst performing economic countries in Europe. How long did it take to form a government in Belgium!? Wasn't it a world record of a few years. @Ptolemy336VV The gdp netherlands is 1012.85 billion usd. 55% debt to gdp. Belgium has a gdp of 507.2 billion usd. 106.3 % debt to gdp. The Netherlands has double the gdp and half the debt as Belgium. Belgium actually makes the Euro worth less because of their high debt. Belgium is one of the countries we need to print money for. It's in the top 5 worst performing economies of Europe. The Netherlands is one of the best performing economies in the world and Belgium is one of the worst. You dare to say the that the Netherlands is failing on so many levels. All the of EU is paying for Belgium's terrible economy. Look at the numbers first before you say something. It's the EU that prevents us from building. Maybe we shouldn't follow their rules as much, but the economy is pretty great compared to the rest of the world. Belgium is one crisis away from ending up like Greece. The Netherlands also has ASML. The leading chipmachines maker in the world, which makes us the most technical advanced country on earth. Nobody can make these 4nm chipmachines yet, only the Netherlands. Joe Biden was begging us not to give those machines to China just yesterday.

It's just supply and demand. It ain't that hard! The Netherlands is one of the most dense populated countries in Europe with a booming middleclass. It's also one of the popular countries for expats. The prices should be one of the highest of Europe nonetheless. When the demand is high too you'll get these prices.

@Thebreakdownshow1 In Flanders probably 98%. The Netherlands has the highest efficiency in the world for non english speakers. I'm counting in Flanders it is the same.

@radayar Harsh! Look at the original comment. You will get some backlash. Certainly when we're paying for their failed economy for years. Groceries are expensive in the Netherlands because of tax and Belgium devaluates the euro, which makes everything more expensive.. A thank you would be nice. It's hard to hear the truth.

@thenetherlands5838 Never blamed Belgium for grocery inflation. Tax on food is the difference between food prices. We make the food they eat. The Netherlands is the biggest agricultiral exporter of Europe. The second biggest exporter in the world. We export 250 million euro's of meat products to Australia every year. The other side of the world! In Cheese, flowers and tomatoes we are number 1 in the world. In alcohol and dairy products second in the world. I still haven't found a grocery store in the world that didnt have Goudse Cheese or Heineken. I blamed them for devaluating the Euro. Which makes the Euro go down in value because of their high debt. We need to print extra for countries like Greece, Italy and Belgium. There should be high tax for food in Belgium to pay their debt. Italy is even worse by the way, they have low income tax too. They've a right government now that wants to lower taxes. At least Belgium has high income tax. Italy is the worst country in Europe. They make it even worse. They got the most from the EU funds too. First they devaluate the Euro and beg for free money. Now they are lowering taxes too. That's just crazy. The also have the biggest gold reserve of Europe. Sell that gold first. They should be pushed out the EU for sure. Let them pay their debt themselves. The Netherlands and 4 other countries didn't want to give Italy free money and rightfully so.
