  1.  @HingerlAlois  Het laatste schot’ In 2010 had Nederland nog 116 Leopard 2A6-gevechtstanks, waarvan er 60 nog in gebruik waren. De overige waren opgeslagen. In dat jaar werden omvangrijke bezuinigingen bekendgemaakt. Als gevolg hiervan, en een verdere verlaging van het budget, werd in april 2011 het einde van de laatste 2 tankbataljons aangekondigd.  Slechts enkele weken later, op 18 mei 2011, klonk het laatste schot van een Nederlandse Leopard-tank op militair schietterrein Bergen-Hohne in Duitsland. I don't know if you know Dutch, but here says in short that the last 2 tank batalions have been decomissioned. The last shot has been shot on 18 may 2011 Bergen-Hohne Germany. I

  2.  @HingerlAlois  The Netherlands is also indefensible. It's flat and they have to hit one dam and half of my country is under water. Not much use are tanks in my country at all. Ships and airplanes are much better.
