The US multinational companies would eat British companies for breakfast with a free trade deal. In the EU you would have one of the largest economies. The choice is easy. A no brainer.

@Lawrence4000-s3k With a free trade deal British companies will get eaten by the bigger US ones. In the EU Britain is the second largest economy. How is this even a debate? Eat or get eaten is the option. You will have no power with a US or have the most seats in the EU too. The US is the one failing. They use debt to keep their economy going. That won't last at all. They borrowed 11 trillion in 8 years. That's half the gdp of the whole EU. It's over for them. We need the decouple the whole UK economy from the US before they fall and take us down with them.

Dumbest take ever. In a free trade deal with the US British companies will get eaten. In the EU Britain has the second largest economy. You can't stop the boats without the EU. They aren't coming from the US. The EU will redirect the boats to Britain. The EU also has immigration deals with other countries to send them to, the US has not. They will find out soon that they can't send their immigrants away, because countries don't want them back.
