  2. It's actually the Dutch who have the last say. The Netherlands and the US are very close though. They won't go against the wishes of Biden. If Trump becomes president i'm not so sure. Funny they say the US-China quarrel and a country in Europe has the power.

  3. The Netherlands here. No, you're not. Last i checked we've ASML, not the US. We make the EUV machines to make the newest advanced microchips possible. A Dutch guy also invented Bluetooth in Sweden and we invented WIFI. Almost everything in your phone right now is made possible by Dutch people. I'm not saying the US isn't great at this stuff. You are, but you don't make it all possible right now. There's no new advanced chips without ASML.

  4.  @JigilJigil  Suppliers and can be changed to Chinese ones though if they really wanted too. China also makes a EUV light source. The US isn't the only one. ZEISS is actually the one who can't be replaced. ZEISS is a German company. ASML owns Cymer by the way. It's a Dutch company now. It can be placed anywhere in the world. The Netherlands would never defy the US by the way. Most of your values you got from us. The declaration of independence was based on a Dutch document and modern capitalism was invented by the Dutch. The Dutch also aided in the war for independence and was in the middle east. Just don't start any more trade wars with the EU and we are fine.

  6.  @SaianaKrishnaMehrotra-fr4qt  You should be very worried about a nation that holds people in camps and follows people all day. You can't even get a mortgage is you have a few traffic violations in China and now they can watch you from space. I would be very worried.

  9.  @JigilJigil  Just google who invented EUV and who makes EUV light sources, smartass. Again. Cymer is bought by ASML in 2013. "The next generation of microprocessors is being produced with European hi-tech thanks to key inventions in extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUVL) manufacturing by Dutch engineer Erik Loopstra and Dutch-Russian physicist Vadim Banine". The first EUV machine was also launched by ASML.

  10.  @xgguo3531  Last time China wanted something from the Dutch they stole the plans for a long bridge over water from us. They let us lay the whole plan out in a presentation, at the last moment they canceled and build it themselves. You can't trust China at all. You can't give them your technology at all.

  11.  @xgguo3531  There was no sanction. They would be setting themselves back 15 years in chipmaking. They put even more money into chipmaking to make up for the loss of ASML.

  12.  @xgguo3531  It would take 10 to 15 years to catch up with ASML. By then the US and Europe will dominate the chip market. They both have put over 50 billion each into producing chips. Everything will be outdated China makes in technology. Their market share will vaporize. They will miss the whole rise of AI powered machines.
