@TenylegMinekez-uc7co What i know is that Orban gave EU funds to his son in law and there were no streetlights and the receipt disappeared. Also that he wanted to make Buda Castle his second home until protests. That's why i don't like him. EU funds are my tax money too. He should be in jail.

They are very much the same. The MH17 had 200 of his fellow Dutch people in the plane, so he's definitely invested. He didn't go wild after that too. He kept cool and collective and started to go from 1.2% gdp spending to 2.1% now and gave a lot of aid to Ukraine in the meantime. Also got Ukraine F16s as the first.

@jonny5714 Rutte was the one who got Ukraine F16s. He said also in a interview he would do anything to take Orban down in the EU.

@samsungtap4183 It was not. I followed that case closely and the evidence was overwhelming. From tapes, ballistics to witness statements. There were multiple tapes of the suspects that said exactly what they did, even a tape they were talking about just hitting a civilian plane and they were also using their call signs. There was no doubt at all. They took 6 years for that case to be very precise.

I as a Dutch citizen think that's not true. Yeah, he's a smooth talker and domestically had some really issues, but on the international level he was a fixer. I never voted for him, but i think he's perfect for the job. He even wrapped Trump around his finger, not many can do that. Sikorsky and Kaja Kallas were way more hotheaded i think. Rutte is somebody who really wants to make a deal and keeps it cool.

@adwest68 You can say a lot about his domestic policy in the Netherlands, but internationally he was pretty good, even Trump and Meloni liked him. Orban not so much, but Orban gave EU funds to his son and law and lost the receipt. Orban should be in jail.

It's not a job where you represent your country. Would you want a Turkish one? Second biggest army in Europe. Or more US in NATO. Poland also has been to hotheaded to get this job or France. You need a talker, not a fighter. That's a job to be the middle man.

@TenylegMinekez-uc7co Definitely true that the US has the biggest say. I think he was picked because he's very pro Ukraine and he's also good with Trump. He also got Ukraine F16s.

@etienne4403 Rutte is a good speaker too. He did very well in debates. 13 years of rule and did good in interviews even when it got very tough. Rutte will not sell Ukraine out. He and Zelensky looked always looked like best friends and you had the whole MH17 crash. He was always one of the most forward leaders in giving aid for Ukraine very early on.

Warmongers? 2 years ago we had a 1.2% gdp in NATO. We do have a joint tankbattalion with Germany by the way. It's just not our tanks.
