Because they want Hungary out of the EU. Hungary can't agree on anything with the rest of the EU. Hungary should get out of the EU. Nothing in common with the rest.

@Ksgggg A vote by other EU countries to get Hungary out of the EU would be democratic, but that's not possible. If 90% of the EU wants to ban oil and only 10% doesn't it's not democratic at all. There's no other option to take all their EU funding and hope they leave the EU.

@Ksgggg EU membership status has rules for membership. Hungary breaks multiple of them. So other EU membership states can imply all kinda sanctions when they vote for it. And they did! If you wanna be neutral as a country within in this it's fine, but don't think you can get all the benefits while not abiding these rules.

@Ksgggg Now Hungary has to pay a EU membership fee of 6 billion dollars a year which we can put into other countries. Without getting EU funding back. Thank you Hungarian people i would say. They're paying for it. Let's see what the people of Hungary vote now. Do they wanna pay 6 billion a year, play ball or do they wanna get out of the EU.

@WaltervonKurzgesagt Yeah right! That's for a 1000% not true. Show me where you found that! EU membership states pay a fee for EU membership and than get funding from the EU. Germany for instance put more in than they get back. Maybe is that what you mean. Hungary had actually the second highest EU funding. That's how they made profit of the EU, but that's now over. Now it's only losses. Nobody wants to give them a penny anymore. Hungary is in the EU for 8 years btw. Not a new member.
