You're forgetting the EU. The EUV printer made by ASML which prints the transistors is in the Netherlands in Europe!! Not in the US or China! The EU holds all the cards. A fatal flaw in this video. The EU is also building fabs and have a chips act of 50 billion. The EU is the only one with the vital EUV technology to make 7nm and 4nm chips though. Without the EUV printer the US and China are decades behind.

Only the laser is US tech. China could reverse engineer that laser before the US can make a EUV by 10 years. Germany is in the EU last time i checked. Right next to the Netherlands. The fact is that if the Netherlands\EU becomes hostile the US has nothing and the Netherlands\EU can make 4nm chips. You can't tell me people at ASML don't know how to make that laser by the way. You must be kidding yourself. This video is called USA vs China while the EU holds all the cards. They decide who gets the machine, not the US or China.

The fact that the EU is totally overlooked in this video and the EU decides who gets this technology. Don't underestimate the Dutch technology by the way. Some inventions you might know. @woolfel I still don't know why this is a war between China and the US by the way. The EU put in just as much money as the US in fabs and technology this year. Plus we've the most technology already. Still think this video from Harris needs a total do-over. ASML is barely named. He's basically saying that the US makes and is the engine of the car while they just make the windscreen and have no power over ASML at all. Don't think think the US and the EU will ever stop trade with the US. Certainly not the Netherlands or Germany. We are just too important to each other as a market. China already lost this battle. That's the conclusion. Just don't say the US is the most important in the process, because they're not. You made the PC, Iphone and internet. Be proud of that. Don't take our accomplishments. We made Bluetooth and WI-FI.. I'm not saying we made the PC or the Iphone. That's what's happening here.
