I would happily pay the 2% in my country the Netherlands, but first the US has to take the 21 million refugees from Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan we are paying for that are caused by America in the EU.

@DDMan1998 America has taken 3.5 million refugees since the year 1975. I was absolutely shocked by this low number. America is 10× the size of Europe. Turkey alone has 3.6 million refugees from Syria. We should pay 0% for NATO until the US starts taking refugees. We actually should get 2% from America instead of paying. Germany has to pay 2% US protection after the US tapped Angela Merkel's phone and when the US blew up their pipeline. Make it make sense.

@danielwhyatt3278 True, never gonna happen. It proves the point i wanna make though. I'm still very shocked to see the number is only 3.5 million refugees since 1975 in America. The contrast is huge vs European refugee numbers.

@danielwhyatt3278 Of course, never gonna happen. Certainly not by Trump. He wouldn't take one refugee. He needs to stop saying stuff like this. Putin is looking at maps and countries below 2% gdp for NATO right now.

@Dryhten1801 Texas has 30 million people. It's the size of almost all of Western Europe. We have in the same space about 300 million people. Almost the whole population of the US.

@marcusoutdoors4999 True, after Colin Powell lied to the UN and republicans gave false evidence to democrates too. My country did have a small supporting roll in all those wars. That means we paid our way to get protected by the US. In Yemen we are also using out planes to bomb Yemen to keep trade safe. 238 billion was the profit in 2023 off weapons sales of the US to foreign nations in 2023. Aid to Ukraine was 80 billion. America made a 158 billion last year. We were the ones that gave our planes to Ukraine and bought new ones from the US. My money is in that profit. We could've bought Swedish planes. Europeans need to know the US made money every year since the Ukraine war. That's why they have a stockmarket record and we haven't. That's why their inflation is low and ours isn't.

@bradleywilson5641 Is Trump gonna aid Ukraine if we pay the 2%!? That's my question. Otherwise we need that money for weapons manufacturing and a European army. It would be very useless to pay 2% and then let Russia annex European territory. We also need a 50% discount on weapons if he does. It's not Europeans fault 238 billion profit of weapons manufacturers to foreign nations does not go to the US taxpayer. To repeat myself again.. 238 billion profit minus 80 billion of aid to Ukraine is 158 profit for the US.

@ernst91 Yeah, We're the ones need to be kicked out of NATO after Trump put all of NATO at risk and Biden is suspected of a NATO article 5 on the Nordstream. Also the US tapped Merkel's phone.
