  1. My favorite cover is "Eight Miles High" by Husker Du. Bob Mould just sings with all of his soul. Also, for those like the song "Hallelujah" read "The Holy and The Broken" about Leonard Cohen, how "Hallelujah came to be and how it became a standard that everyone covers.

  2. i was working at Tower Records when "The Man Comes Around" was released. One day a record label rep has the staff meet in our art room-it had a VHS player. The rep pulls out a tape for us to watch. It was the video to "Johnny Cash's "Hurt." The video was so affecting that I had tears down my face. Amazing. June Carter Cash died 3 months after the video for "Hurt" was filmed and Johnny died 4-5 months after her.
