Claps Hands Repeatedly and Happily YEEESSSS!!! The Dodge Viper in this spec is the most American ever. The Viper is actively trying to kill you. The original Viper was a handful. This version is just over the top bonkers. It's awesome!!

This ol' tank reminds me of the C-10s and F-150s that I knew growing up 35-40 years ago. Pure utilitarian. This Powerstroke is a big tractor! BTW 110,000 miles on a diesel is just it getting warmed up.

I love the “chunk” and “thunk” sound that emanates from every door and trunk space. It reminds me of my childhood in the 80’s. This car is quality without flash. The “Thunks” and “Chunks” say it. The soft cruising is doing its best in a luxurious everything interior.
297
Analog gauges? That is rare. Most car makers want to "out-arcade" each other with obvious displays and electronics. I love this car because you can put your minion in a car seat so that you both enjoy track days! WRX-It's for the children!
292
"I never thought a son could leave his father a legacy. but my son did." Enzo Ferrari on his son Dino. Enzo visited his son's grave every day and never truly stopped mourning. The Dino, and the direction it gave Ferrari, is a great legacy.
272
That car looks at Tedward’s Civic Si and snorts, “peasant.”
249
The most American sounding and acting German made car ever. Forget love, I am in lust.
247
Sweet baby Jesus. If they ever reboot "Back To The Future," that car could be the time machine. No more mods are needed.
244
Topher and Tedward are a great pair. Two guys talking cars and I wonder, "Y'all get paid for that? NICE!"
232
"Too much is never enough." "Anything worth doing is worth overdoing."
218
This BMW has "just enough." Just enough power to be fun. Just enough input and tight suspension to be direct. Pushing 50, I was getting nostalgia from manual crank everything! This BMW 316 is just so charming. It's a car you adore.
179
Cheap and charming. This was that simple car that kept going forever. Cars like this 500 and my father’s 1968 Beetle are measured in smiles per gallon. Emotional attachment because this 500 isn’t powerful, isn’t roomy, but 500 is doing its best for you and you adore 500 for that.
172
As a 16 year old in 1988, this car was a rumor and a legend. 300 HP was a big number back in 1988. So 382 HP and over 500 lb-ft of torque was the moon. Incredible.
163
Original and unrestored Automotive royalty? I can't even process it. This must have blown minds back in the 1950's.
152
Ahh, that Rx-7 is so beautiful. The Wankel is so smooth as well. 160 HP from 1.3 L blew my mind. Just how? Also, that car is PLANTED! I was 18 years old when this RX-7 was new and I am so happy right now. Thanks Tedward.
150
Tedward, that Civic is the most understanding "spouse" of a car. You drive some of the coolest stuff, but Civic knows you come home to daily drive it.
143
The Quattroprte is such a beautiful car. An auto version of a well crafted Italian suit, inside and out. BMWs and Benzes are all black and pure business performance. The Maserati is a cruiser, not a performance car. It's gorgeous and always says "I have arrived in style."
129
When I was maybe 6-7, my dad had a 1978 Corvette hardtop when it was new. Boy am I having some happy memories. Thanks Tedward.
122
My mom had an A4 of this time period. Pleasant comfortable cruiser that was austere luxury. No flash and just the business.
120
I remember Polestar being the performance house of Volvo like AMG with Mercedes Benz. I could live with a Polestar. It's a car, not a giant electronic gizmo. Polestar is separated from Volvo but has the same practical no frills attitude. Comfort, relative comfort, and no show. You would not know it's a Polestar EV until you were told. This car would be great as a commuter car. I would want to have EV charging infrastructure built out more before going on long trips.

Papa sorted that 2002 well. Add lightness and GO! That "pop pop pop" of the exhaust is pure joy. This 2002 is tight, handles on a dime and is a blast. This 2002 has the DNA that has been given to its descendants. This 2002 is not the fastest, has zero modern tech etc. But The 2002 is a little tiger who gives its all every time. That endears it to everyone. Thanks for the gift, Papa.

Tedward, my doctor measured my height at 5'7 and 3/4". When asked, I say that I'm 5'8." Let's called that Aston V-12 a 6.0L and it's cool.
108
315 HP from a V6. I am going full boomer by remembering that 30 years ago. 315 HP was V8 Corvette territory.
98
I laugh because the base Cobalt was a commuter "meh" car. The base car just existed. The Cobalt SS is a riot. Total sleeper that looks like a fleet rental car and can skin other cars alive!
97
If I was a mobster, this is my car. Pure Bond villain car. Large, powerful. We'll never see cars like this one or the pure bonkers that is The Phaeton again.
93
The 300SL was a show piece for technology and years ahead of others cars of its time. One of God's own cars. Can you imagine being in a Beetle in 1957 and being passed, at speed, by a 300SL. That car was a spaceship in the 50's.
82
I always love these cars more than the modern, brand new cars. 110 HP in a car as light as a 914 makes that into a go kart.
81
Tedward, have you driven the Phaeton? That’s almost a legend.
77
The engine sound when you let it rip is feral and amazing! One thing-needs more "Sweet Emotion."
60
That is not a car, it's a go-kart on steroids! 220 HP in something as light and tightly tuned is heaven in the turns. Tedward, the Elise and that Turbo Mk.1 GTi are my favorite kind of car. light ,nimble, and just enough HP they embarrass most bigger cars with 500 HP.
57
I always swore that The Cabriolet was a Barbie car come to life. The Cabriolet is a cruiser meant for relaxing fun. Total summer vibe. I was 21 in 1993 and that boxy car is a nostalgia trip.
56
Some folks collect model cars and Matchbox cars. Tedward, you get to enjoy all of the best toys and share them with us. Dude, this is total Zen.
48
That's a nice car and a Ford, but I really swear that CUV is not a Mustang.
44
Proper cruising. What a beauty.
43
Tedward doing “Bond, James Bond” in all sorts of style.
37
The sound of a small block Detroit V8 burbling is my happy place.
36
Yup. I always figured this old turbo was like the old turbos on 1970-80’s F1 cars. “Nothing, Nothing, Nothing, WARP SPEED, PLAID, HANG ON!!!”
36
That 500 reminds me of a photo I saw years ago. An original run Mini was next to a 2000's era Mini Cooper. The 2000's era Cooper looked like a Peterbilt next to The 60's era Mini.
34
I remember growing up 40 years ago and The Suburban WAS the only SUV that existed. It was a big truck on frame. Loud diesels, column shift, and all the refinement of a tractor trailer. That truck is quick for a rolling city block. You can manipulate HP numbers with different formulas. But torque is a mathematical certainty. Diesels have ALL the torque down low for grunt and go. That Suburban is so refined! Such a great road trip machine for the entire children's soccer team.
34
The last of pure luxury, “adequate speed.” Not a performance car in a normal sense. The Azure is the ultimate solid Grand Tourer. You can cruise at 70-ish with so much room. The interior is pure hunting lodge and the seats are great grippy recliners. It’s the best or-nothing.
33
So this meetup is a play date for E39s? That car club is a great support and fellow like minded folks. I like this car because it still seems analog even with the addition of electronics.
33
There are cars, there are luxury cars, then there are classic Rolls Royces. Nothing spared and just the best. The Silver Cloud is old world luxury. No loud anything. Here it is and you won't find anything better. I mean the engine could have made 300 HP, but the figure was always "sufficient."
32
Cars like this XJ 120, the 300SL Gullwing and many others up to the mid-60s were art pieces as well as mechanical pieces that were amazing engineering. The XJ 120 was a status symbol that you had achieved with panache. Though in "Cruel Intentions," the beauty contest between Phillipe's XJ 120 and the people on screen was a close contest.
31
I said this on a video about that 1976 MB Diesel W115, but the same thing sticks here. I love the "chunk" and "thunk" of the doors and the solid "click" sounds of the turn signals. This Aston is an analog time capsule. You may have electronic fuel injection and ignition systems, but that seems it. This Aston is like old school Mercedes-understated class. It's just that this Aston could cruise at 100 mph all day in a cabin fit for a gentleman's finest hunting lodge. Also that V8 had 350-400 HP. In the 80's, that was beyond the moon. A Corvette had 245 HP. This Aston is a gem.
30
Signs of Spring: Birds flying North. Planting and sprouting of crops. Allergies.... The 911 Carrera being let loose among the public.
30
"I do miss living here. Except for the inability to make money." LMAO. Ouch!!
28
This is the Mercedes time period that I grew up with and adore. Doors and trunk lids that went "Thunk." Overengineered and built like a tank. Elegant and simple. Nothing for show. The car itself was proof that you had style and prestige. If a base SEL was "Kind of Blue" style of sophisticated and accessible, then this AMG is a CEO in a suit who occasionally switched up Jazz for Motorhead.
25
Lane assist and cruise control sounds awesome. When my niece was a toddler, I remember being on the DC Beltway. Trying to keep eyes on the road and the kid was saying "Here!" and handing stuff to me from her car seat in the back seat of the car. If I did not respond, the toddler was not happy.
24
This Black Wing gives me "Mad Max Interceptor" vibes and I love it!!
23
SUVs are the station wagons of the present. This Enclave is roomy, comfortable with comfortable handling. Perfect for grocery runs, taking the kids places, and long trips. This Enclave needs fake wood exterior trim from a Buick Roadmaster battleship to be perfect.
