  1. I am a DC area native. What on national news is local for us in "The DMV (DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia) DC is two cities. One majority African American that did not have self rule until about 45 years ago. The "other DC" is majority white and The Kingdom of Congress. Those folks are transient, work in Federal Agencies, Professional Associations, Lobbyists and such. That city is the one that gets all the attention. Those "other DC" folks come and go, but they control the lives of the residents who have called DC home and will do so long after the government types leave. The DC residents hate politicians and boo them for sport. Trump is a special case in that he is especially despised. So RBG's funeral and Game 5 of last year's World Series-where Trump was booed out of Nationals Park, are rare public occasions. The residents, who will live there long after Trump leaves, can voice their unique contempt towards that bastard.
