  4. i spent 7 years in the navy on submarines during the 80s and it was during the cold war we are not in any wars now so it should be cut in 1/2 . i also am on medicare and think it sucks they took out dental and eye glasses from the bbb

  6. I am a disabled vet 75% and on medicare Me and family of 3 are on food stamps. My wife has to take care of me most of the time I live to far from a VA hospital for help. I also know a lot of others like me on food stamps. I also know active duty vets on food stamps also. Now that is a real shame.

  7. i am on ssdi and medicare and cracked a tooth I have to have it pulled because I can not afford a crown.

  11. i live near a low-income housing place and when the child credit started I seen a lot more new cars and the drug traffic got worse,

  12. I have medicare and it does not cover dental I have a tooth bothering me and may have to pay up to 400 bucks or more . I wish they could add at least basic dental to medicare . I am a disabled vet and the military does not cover vets like me for dental coverage .

  13. I am a disabled vet spent 7 years on submarines and got messed during a torpedo reload . What nailed my income was the NAVY paid my muster out pay after I was let out. If I was paid while still active duty I would have not paid taxes. Now 8 years later the stupid IRS says I owe 42k . Now there taking money from my disabilty pay. Before they did My family was living check to check now life sucks I am being treated for depression as I thought  I would rather be dead.

  14. Lets see this is the bad news. I spent 7 years on submarines during the 80s and got hurt during a torpedo reload ruining my carrier in the NAVY. Then the NAVY made a mistake in my pay. Now I owe 42k to the irs and my family lives check to check.  I also worked for NCR for 10 years and we had the contract for Sams And Walmart . I had access to back office and I seen thing that would make your skin crawl. I will not shop in either. The only good thing I have going is I am alive.

  15. I am a disabled vet . I spent 7 years on submarines . Then when I reenlisted for another 6 years I had 2 weeks left on the submarines . Then during a torpedo reload a chain broke and it crushed me and my hopes for 25 years in. It took forever to get a operation and now they put a morphine pump in me. I have to sit at the va hospital sometimes 2 hours to get it refilled. I wish they could feel the pain I am in.

  16. I am a disabled vet spent 7 years on submarines during the 80 s. I love him as he has done a lot for vets . I tell all the vets at the va hospital to vote for him. I do not like the deal on gun checks . I won a .45 1911 made during WW2 I also have a m16 I got over seas . I do not and will not let anyone take them.

  17. Its funny I am a disabled vet was on subs 7 years. made good money as a reactor operator. I was paying my bills had sea pay sub pay and carrier sub amn sea pay.Them became disabled and now at 100% disabled I make 1/3 of what I used to make . Meds in this country are way to high . I have friends upstate 200 miles from me and they go up to canada for drugs. Just 1 of mine costs 250 bucks but up there it 15 bucks . Whats wrong with that picture.

  18. I am disabled and on ssdi I worked for 45 years from the age of 10 on the books. I am a medicare and have a part d plan.  It is still cheaper for me to get my meds in canada and I have relatives who live up there and it takes longer for them to get tests done but its a lot cheaper. If they and us could take the best of both it would be great.

  19. I hate to say this but I am disabled so I get medicare but my wife who takes care of me only works 3 to 6 hours a week. She was paying 200.00 a month for health care. Now with obamacare it will go up to 499.00 . She has lost health care as we can not afford that much. So here in NY we will pay the fine and she loses health care.

The bad part is if they shut it down there would be rolling blackouts as there is not enough power to go around I was in the NAVY for 6 years on SUBS and was a NUCK on board I was a e-5 and was on 3 boats during which we never had any NUCK accident If they military can run all those subs with very low problems then why cant the plants keep running without problems . I worked a little while for a plant and it was ran great some plants play the game some do not.

  21. I am disabled on SSDI and am bipolar shyrofrinic the company I worked for 9.5 years in NY and they put me on long term disability and then canceled my insurance even thou I paid the cost . I almost died 2 times because of no heath care and very low money . The companys are canceling folks insurance just to save money . I pray the it changes

  23. I live in a rural area and I can not even get packages left for me I have to have someone drive me 20 miles to pick it up. I am disabled and unable to drive . I think the postal service need to step up and do a better job adding those things would really help out . They closed my local post office in my area and it really hurt the seniors and disabled folks in my area

  26. As a disabled vet who spent 7 years on submarines and a stupid torpedo reload went wrong and a chain broke and it crushed me ruining my life and career. I have to live close to a va hospital  to refill my morphine pump. If I lived where I wanted and could use the local doc it would really help. The system sucks for us disabled vets.

  27. I am a disable vet living on a tight income for me and family I wish Bernie would tell them to control the heating oil. There doing the same thing as LP gas. This year heap was cut  to $600.00 which is a lousy 148 gallons of oil. My 21 year old son can not find a job.I was hoping for a second emergency heap . I have to choose cut my meds in 1/2 eat less just to keep the house warm for my family.

  28. I can say this I spent 7 years on submarines in the NAVY . I was hurt during a torpedo reload. Now there going to cut money from the VA and doctors . I did not do that time in the NAVY so they can cut benefits to medicare VA and a few others. My family was all republicans for a long time . I was to then 5 years ago I see that there rolling over and want more for themselves. Now I am a independent voter and hope this gets more and more votes.

  30. I hope He can raise the wage all across the USA . I got my biggest raise back in the NAVY . I was on submarines for 7 years . When Reagan become president we got the biggest raise than any of the jobs I every worked.

  31. I am a disabled vet and almost of the time I agree with him. But this time I have been filling out requests for the pipe line to go tru. I fill it will bring jobs and lower fuel costs. I live in the Catskills NY about 75 miles from NY. The hear last year was cut in half and we are losing more and more every year. The only way I made it almost tru yas the free 100 gallons from 1800 joe 40il . That free oil was almost worth the heap program.

  32. 1st I grew up in the coal mines and now its very clean burning now . 2 I spent 7 years in the NAVY on submarines. I was a reactor operator and got out as a E-5 IC2 (SS) Nuclear power can be very safe I went to school in Idaho and there is a small nuclear plant there that very few no about and has never had a problem. I spent time on 3 different submarines and only had some small problems. If the NAVY can do it it can be done across the USA. 3 I like Bernie very much and this is the only time I disagree with him.  The oil line would make some nice jobs and may even make gas go down in price. I know that the USA sells oil to foreign countries which should be stopped. If we kept all the fuels we make in the US prices would go way down.

  33. I spent 7 years in the NAVY I was on submarines and never had a problem. Then while doing a torpedo reload a chain broke and the torpedo crushed me. I can not drive and my wife has to drive me 70 miles to go to a VA hospital. Please build one closer to the disabled vets.

I can tell you its no fun going from 43k active duty to 21k disabilty. It also hard to go to the va hospital I wait sometimes 2 hours.  I hope sanders can help us

  35. As nuclear reactor operator on submarines . I spent 7 years on 3 different subs. only had 1 problem that the NRC had to get involved with and that did not affect the outside air. Something most folks do not know a nuclear powered ships and subs dump water from the outer loop outside 300 mile from any country .I know nuclear power can be safe wish there was more . If we could find a safe place for the waste is the big problem.here a tid bit on submarine I seen cockroaches inside the reactor compartment .never did figure out how they got in there its sealed

  36. I am on social security and make the same as he said . I have 2 kids under 14 and a wife that must take care of me. I eat very little so my kids can eat. I got heap this year and it was 1/2 less than last year . I thank god the weather has been a lot warmer last year and this. I reach the dounut hole in 3 months and then I have no coverage as I can not afford my meds . I cut my meds in 1/4 to make them last . I can not tell my doctors or he would hospital me. I also wish we could get a $500> chk

I am on social security and now they want to lower heap I can not afford heating with heap they give you 698 bucks and in the new england area that buys you 150 gallon of oil to last all winter . I have to live in a house with a temp of 55 degrees and if not I will run out of oil and day now I hope to get the 100 gallons free from 1800joe for oil if not for him I will run out

  39. I am a older disabled person and do not have a drive license all I have is my old NAVY id from when I was honorable discharge years ago. The do not take it as a ID and I thing it is a scam trying to make every body who does not have one can not vote.

  42. There are dental problems all over the USA . I now in NY it me I have medicare but it does not cover dental at all . I looked for Dental Universities none within 100 miles and I am disabled unable to drive.

  44. I hate to say this but as a NAVY submarines disabled vet . I think that if we strike syria then Jordan and others will strike Israel then it will be WW3 . The only safe place will be on a submarine which I wish I was still on.

  45. There is now way I would vote for Romny I had always been a republican as was my dad grand day . I become a disabled Vet and after spending 7 years on submarines I was hurt during a torpedo reload accident > The damn chain broke and it was found to be made in China and marked 20 ton when in reality it was 5 ton. I would never vote for someone who would buy parts from China !!

  47. Yes they want to cut medicare remove some money from heap make meds more cost for the elderly and disabled . I know some that had to cut back on there meds where coats over sweater since heap only give 500 which only buys 159 gallons of fuel oil they should change it to get enough oil to last at least 1/2 the season thats not asking much and they want to reduce the little they get now. Please stop the cuts!!!

  48. As a disabled vet I do see the government is trying to hurt us further. I spent 7 years on submarines and got hurt right before I was to reenlist for 6 more years. A lot of folks do not know that when you leave the military on permanently disabled you lose all your special pays . I was getting sea pay sub pay carrier sub and sea pay Master diver pay and a few others . It is a bad system and causes a lot like me are on food stamps.

  49. It is a real shame that the cut the Heap program I know folks that are leaving the temp down to 50 degrees and I have mine set at 55 do to not getting enough oil . I am in upstate NY and got 475.00 for heap and that was a lousy 122 gallons of oil . They should give more or base it on gallons of oil instead of money . We could get 300 gallons or more.

  50. Yep the working class I worked on the books from the age of 12 to the age of 45 when in the US NAVY I was hurt pretty bad . That ruined my life as I wanted to be a lifer in the NAVY . I lost all my specials pays as any vet who is disabled we get base pay only . I also now seniors who make a decisions meds or food . I wish Bernie would run for pres I would vote for him
