Peterson was very late to the party on this. There were people speaking up back before 2015. I'm dubious of his motives.

It's hard to believe medical professionals could be sucked into an ideology. The revelations really prove that the only people we can trust to take care of us is ourselves. Telling a child they are in the wrong body should be made a criminal offence. Adults should be protecting children, more than ever.

@8thhousemoonrabbit205 I find him hollow. He says things people will like but I'm not sure he believes the things he says. There are many flaws in this man - check out Sonia Poulton's analysis.

@JD-xd4sy I've already signposted you to an investigative journalist. The man's little more than a shock jock.

@JONDUCK1 there were feminists raising the alarm years before. Peterson jumps on any obvious bandwagon, portraying himself as a contrarian free thinker. He's nothing of the sort. He's a psychologist and has been taught to recognise how people will react, then he capitalises on it.

@questionmark5463 interesting. Has she created an organisation and spent time telling the little people how they should live? The world doesn't need the condescension of Jordan Peterson. He's just said what people wanted to hear, which is why he's a pioneer of nothing, in order to preach at those same people. How people don't see through these empty narcissists is bizarre to me.

@questionmark5463 I could write all day about Peterson's ridiculousness and signpost a lot more, but he irritates me, so signposted to someone with the most concise criticism. If people are too dense to recognise when a narcissist is playing them, they'll have to find out the hard way.

@sportysbusiness I read his book, noted the messiah complex and realised he's just another narc. He risked nothing - he knew his audience and has a career and platform on the back of it. You really don't see his manipulation, do you?

@questionmark5463 once you recognise someone's narcissism, it makes no sense to have anything to do with them. Peterson reeks of it.

@questionmark5463 original reply deleted, as happens on YouTube when certain names are mentioned. Everyone has an opinion, but the claim Peterson was someone who predicted the outcomes we see early is demonstrably untrue. Feminist groups were raising the alarm over 10 years before. I believe this is why my previous comment was deleted, but look up the vancouver ra. Pe crisis centre and the payout they were forced to make in 2002. There were people including J. Bin. Dell. Writing about this at the time. Petersons's rhetoric on the subject is anything but original. He's an unoriginal populist who pretends to be anti establishment to capture followers. It amazes me that anyone is sucked in by him.

@ddz1375 look and have a read of what was said by the people who came before him. He's nothing new.

30:19 it's important to understand the trans movement is a linguistic movement. Put simply, it's (some) men colonising women, so that women do not have their own language and spaces. This is why language around women is being changed, not men. However "nice" an invader is, it is important to see them for what they are and not play along with their game.

@b.b.finsclara3589 plenty of professional people have spoken out. Peterson just copied what others said before him and used the subject to preach to his followers.
2
@paulroberts8609 exactly. He's become popular as being a talker, because people like to hear their feelings spoken back to them. He isn't dynamic or bringing anything new, just copying others. He has a platform due to a lack of objective analysis by the masses. I don't know how anyone could spend time listening to him without becoming jaded.

@bunille read his book, look at him objectively.
2
@bunille not offended, sweetheart. Bemused that people were talking about this very average man as if he was the new messiah.

@JD-xd4sy and you're only coming from seeing the guy as a messaih, forgive me for seeing you as a sad little fan boy. Idiot.

@questionmark5463 everyone's entitled to their opinion, but to claim Peterson was an early predictor is demonstrably untrue. In his own country, there were issues going back to 1995 when a women's only service turned down a guy calling himself Kimberly Nixon wanting to work there. He sued and won in 2002. Julie Bindel here in the UK reported on it at the time. She and other feminist groups were predicting what would happen over 10 years before Peterson hedged his bets. He's used populist ideas to promote his own agenda. People are utterly foolish to be misled by the things he says. Which is all he does, isn't it? Says words. Like every average politician.

@louishermann7676 he talks. That's it. He picks up populist narratives, talks about them, rinse and repeat. He hasn't said anything new or controversial and has done nothing about the situation in his own country, which is one of the worst in the western world on this subject. He could have spoken up early, when things started to happen, but kept quiet, until the actual trailblazers had spoken up and it was clear from any comments section that the majority of people didn't agree with gender ideology. He risked nothing.

@SatuSusanna with the BBC's history of allowing dangerous people to have contact with and harm children, are we surprised? It seems to be their cornerstone.
