  12. Even when the suspect isn't a juvenile you rarely get much of a description from the media. The most the news tells you is "white t-shirt and blue jeans." No race, height, age, hair style, no nothing. It has been that way for a long time.

  20. They'll pay the techs that maintain the robots probably more than $15 an hour because that is a specific skill. It doesn't take much skill to dunk frozen fries in hot oil. They'll get a robot to do a lot of stuff like that eventually. They'll just need the tech to load up hoppers the robot draws from. I've seen a robot make an omelette, vacuum a house, shoot a basketball into the hoop, and play pool. Robots around hot grease will be safer, the robot won't need breaks, it won't need maternity/paternity leave, it won't take a vacation, and robots won't unionize.

  22. I grew up in Michigan but live here in NC. Our liquor stores are already state run. We don't have party stores here like you have in Michigan. You have to go to one place to get your alcohol. And then go someplace else to get everything else you need. You can only buy beer and wine at the grocery store no hard liquor. So the next logical step would be to have state-run Cannabis stores as well

I have been reading comments and a lot of people seem to think they kid just walked into school and started slashing away. The media seems to be framing it that way and it's very irresponsible of them but not surprising.

  45. Back in 2016 the Raleigh Police Department killed a black man while serving a warrant. Same as this case. But that never made national news at the time. Because the Charlotte transgender bathroom bill was the big story in the news and the media did not want to take away from that. There being less accidents there has nothing to do with BAC it's because you can't drink enough to get drunk there anyway.   47. A few years ago I saw a deer bust out of a wooded area near Crabtree Valley mall. It ran across the beltline there, jumped the median into the beltline going the opposite way. I don't know what happened, but can you imagine cruising along 440 and deer just falls out of the sky in front of you?
