Get rid of the criminal element that's holding your neighborhood hostage. Make your neighborhood worth investing in. No one is going to just build a business in a place just because you say it needs it. And if I recall correctly there are plenty of social programs and Outreach programs for gang members that nobody seems to be taken advantage of. Are these programs not good enough? Or are they failing? And why are they failing and why do we keep throwing money at them if they are not working?

Funny how it was the Trump vaccine right up until he left office, but the people who said they wouldn't get it, were lining up for it while he was still in office.   25. Pass it already. The cops are always holding it up because they say they have no way to do a field sobriety test for it, which is ridiculous. Plenty of other states are functioning just fine with their recreational use laws, just follow their model already. North Carolina is just being greedy and trying to figure out how they can make the most money off of it anyway they can.

There have been all these bleeding-heart social programs in place for decades and its obvious they are not being used or not working at all if people are still choosing to do crime. It's the same boiler plate response every time something like this happens some activist always says, "people need more opportunity." Well clean up your city so people want to invest in places in order to create opportunity (then the activists will just whine about gentrification anyway.) I wouldn't want to build or invest in a place I know that the plumbing and electrical wiring will be stripped out the day after it is installed and sold for scrap. The guy who owns the Subway is an immigrant, yet he took the opportunity he was given to come here and get a franchise to open his own business. He did it, so what is "The Community's" excuse?

  36. You do know that not everyone gets deployed every time the military goes somewhere, right? There is something called rear detachment. The military still needs people to stay back to run things at home. Also, his unit might have already done a rotation somewhere and are now back while another unit is taking their place overseas. There are a lot of people who spend their whole careers and never deploy anywhere. My old squad leader in Germany was an E6 and in the Army for awhile before he went on his first deployment which was when we deployed to Macedonia in 1999. It was my third deployment and I had only been in 6 years at that point. My squad leader retired after 20 years and never deployed to the Gulf or Afghanistan; some people get lucky like that. Whereas some of my buddies who did their 20 years deployed there multiple times. As far as what he is accused of I'm not going to comment on that until all the evidence is presented. Innocent until proven guilty still means something even if all the knee jerkers don't think so.
