If there was more help out there, there wouldn’t be as many people out there committing such horrific traumatic acts on kids and risks repeating history also or reverse and just creating more mental illness among youth.

That’s the same as regular prison. 🫤. They have work, freedom etc. He should have spent the last year of his sentence in a more minimum security prison to at least re adapt to being around people and not confined to a cell 23/24 hours of the day. Some have life sentences and those..,,,,, just let them stay right there. They got nothing to loose so they’re all the more dangerous.

Wtf. If anyone said that to their kid, they don’t deserve kids.

Not everyone that goes to prison has a life sentence. Some people do a year and some 20+

I’ve been in state prison for 18 months and even state institutionalized me. I still struggle to function in society. it’s not the same either way. I was in lock for 3 months and never left my cell but 30 min a day. Learned to sleep a lot and end of life ideations crossed my mind. It’s mind fuc**

I agree but there are some that are just way to dangerous to be around anyone. There are a reason why they are there. Him i have to say, is obviously not that bad if he didn’t so anything “yet”.

@ They mean they arent “rehabillitated”. They did what they did to get there though don’t get me wrong but being locked up 23/24 hours a days messes with someone mental health especially if they have MH issues already. I did 2 weeks in solitary for some stupid sfuff while in county for FTA failure to appear in court. I was never a violant offender. It messed me up. When I got out I was confused and had anxiety still. I own what I did but the punishment was severe. I didn’t listen to the deputies orders and ignored her. They where strict there. I was there 2 months in county jail.

They really shouldnt even be this locked up and confined that long if they’re going to only get out. Some are just a o dangerous even with shorter sentences they are just to much of a danger to be around people. There was a guy who was in another priaon that was more of a medium security whose name i can’t recall but he was there for murder and they decided to put him in a workshop with tools to “rehabilitate him” but he used a hammer and bashed a CO skull in for the thrill to kill with no motive and got transferred to ADX because of it. He simply couldn’t be around ANYONE. He was there for killing his wife i believe. I forgot what his original sentence even was or if it was life already. Needless to say he will never get out. These inmates that are deemed to dangerous because of things they did in society or in another prison get put there. They usually don’t like to just lock up anyone in ADX.

That’s not rehabilitating nor is state prison. It’s a very controlled environment with structure but apparently federal i hear is better. I been to state prison for a 18 months. I didn’t get “day passes”. i never left and never had even outside doctors appointments. I only saw the infirmary. It still institutionalized me. I been out only 10 months and still struggle with function because outside is way different then inside.
