  1. Over 50% of the people who left Iraq from 2003 to 2014 were Iraqi Christians (Chaldeans and Assyrians). Christians had no power and were constantly attacked and targeted. Over a million Christians have left Iraq in the last 17 years. They have suffered the most and are the one of the biggest groups in Iraq’s diaspora despite being 6% of the population in 2003 and now 1% in 2021.
