@skootergirl22 Yes, some seniors have savings. They worked for a living and were encouraged to SAVE for the future. Even if it meant going without luxuries when they were young. They paid into the system - unlike the lazy scroungers. The Government though, decided to tax them on those savings if they went above the threshold. They should have stuffed it under the mattress instead. It wouldn't gain interest, but at least it was ALL THEIRS!!
