So they will raise the State Pension (a Benefit on the document) - but NOT the Tax free Allowance) - so many will start paying tax, especially those that saved money when they were working (some at a young age, when told to save, save, save) by taking out an insurance cover, annuity [payable when they reach retirement age) and other investments - only to now be clobbered with tax because they've gone well over the TFA. So bl00dy unfair! Stuffing it under the mattress was, in hindsight - the better option :face-red-droopy-eyes:
