  1. No, pal. You don't understand what Superman is. The version you see in the comics, the all goody no evil boy scout that stands for truth, justice and the American Way. Like the American Way itself, it's full of lies and holes. This is the real Superman, sure he is all good and righteous, but only by enduring incredible pain and hardship. That is life, well intention is always met with the uncompromising nature of life, that is "human". What makes Superman human is his imperfections, the comic has been ignoring this for far too long. Superman snap Zod's neck, but by doing so, he felt incredible pain, that's who he is.

It's a split second decision, within that 7 seconds or so, Clark has to make a decision, and he possibly regretted it after his father was killed, but that's life. He was about to save his father but his father tells him not to. That impacted him.
