That's not how ownership of territory even works. And furthermore, even if it was true, and maybe it was true, that problem must be settled between the Albanian government and the Serbian government. The US government literally has no say in the matter. It's none of their business. How many Serbians do they allow to kill to intervene with no sort of legitimacy whatsoever? It's not related to the US at all.

@caspernetherlands698 What do you mean it's not my say? That's the say of mankind, to disallow that kind of insane militaristic action on territories that you have no involvement with. Get over yourself, buddy. Self determination means foreigners must get out. The US is the only country on Earth that starts aggression in places that have nothing to do with them.

@caspernetherlands698 The disagreement here is that you're saying that because of this racial tension in Yugoslavia, it gives the US the right to just bomb and kill how many people they want to on that territory which they're not related to in the name of defending the ethnic minority. But since you don't say that anymore, I think we agree on most things. There's this problem of how those Albanians even got to Yugoslavia and what is their claim to that territory, how long they've been living there. From global consensus, it has to be 200-250 years of continuous occupation of their territory for the land to belong to them. If they're just a majority via immigration, declaring independence there is land grabbing.

@caspernetherlands698 There's a gigantic difference between 1913 and 1999. The world sort of agreed that after 1945, people can't just wage war to claim stuff that they're not legitimately involved with, not anymore. What I meant regarding ownership of territory is just that the US has no right to intervene, maybe I should have used a better phrase.

@caspernetherlands698 Again, that's not how it works, you need to calculate the continuous occupation of the people since 1945 counting backwards. Exactly when did the Brits give it away, and what was the population percentage at the time were like, and then you have to count backward since that date to see how long it has been like that. But anyway, doesn't matter what it was, the US intervention is clearly illegitimate. Even if that place doesn't rightfully belong to Serbia, Serbia has a claim to certain amount of interests that are up for negotiation on how the road map to independence for that place would be. People are unhappy all the time, and every ethnic minority wants independence, the key is to find a negotiated solution between involved parties, that process was hijacked by the US.
