That doesn't really apply here, hombre. Because of 2 things. First, there's no liveable mountainous environment in Ukraine for guerilla warfare. It's too cold and it's too brutal of an environment for that. There's also no road of transport, unlike in the Vietnam war, there was mountainous roads that are hidden by the forest and all.
The Ukrainian forces doesn't have any support of the people in the front region. Because the front right now is the territory of ethnic Russians.
"Ukraine" as country isn't even a historically real country, it's territory now is a mix of groups of people that had never considered themselves the same people. The border makes no sense, such border was made up out of thin air. The Western part is pro-"Ukraine", whatever that name means to them and the East is pro-Russia. Unlike in Vietnam where it's very clear that the entire territory of Vietnam is one group of people sharing the same tradition for hundreds of years.
You can't apply one military tactics to all scenario, you have to adapt.
In this case, reality doesn't allow Ukraine to adapt, there's no strategy where they survive, they are finished. The climate is cold and brutal, and they don't have any hiding spot.

Yes, I propose the "Ukrainians" to give up. Go study some actual history, hombre. this "Ukraine" country with it's regconized territory is a made up country with no history at all consisting of such borders.
The Eastern part for the last 1000 years, like 70% of the time, were Russians, and the Western part belonged to the Polish and the Lithuanian Commonwealth.
There's no such thing as "Ukraine" in history, it was made up out of thin air by Lenin. The last 30 years are incredibly insignificant in a thousand year of history, go learn some math, hombre.
To the people in the East and the South, Russia is their country, to the people in the West, it's a mess, some consider themselves Hungarians, somes considered them Polish, some considered themselves "Ukrainian", whatever that means.
But one thing for sure, where the front is happening, none of it is of "Ukraine".
The solution is for these "Ukrainians", whatever that means to surrender unconditionally before they get totally destroyed. They're using reserves troop to barely breaking through the first line of defense. Go learn some math and you'll see how sad that is.
Learn some math, buddy. They need to surrender now before dying under America order.

@@NickTamaire Why would what? Why would Russia and China intervene?
Well, because Africa is the fastest growing continent with untapped resources due to lack of political stability.
The influence of South Africa in the region and it's connection with the BRICS nation and the close relationship of these newly formed governments with Russia makes it a very important asset for both Russia and China.
Russia and China, being dictatorial regime with vast resources, they have the capability to intervene there with a fraction of the cost that the West must pay. Bigger return over investment.
And it's very simple how, first by supplying arms, and if necessary, supplying troops.
ECOWAS nations aren't fighting for anything, they're intervening in their neighbor business, if met with fierce resistance, they will leave.
You must be insane to think that the African countries are living in any kind of democracy, the people that hasn't been given a voice for many decades. This is their uprising.
If Russia can maintain Bashar Al Assad, they can maintain these military coup.
