Really, people are taking this seriously? The game itself is a bunch of algorithm, and humans can only handle a limited amount of those things. They trick you into believing that anything you do in the game is a result of "creativity". It's not. It's a permutation of algorithms, and sooner or later, the AI's gonna gather enough permutation to defeat any human, not because we're not competent, it's just that what it's design to do. The game isn't actual creativity, it's a hidden form of chess, chess is math, we design computers to handle math that we can't. This is designing a car and race it with a fast runner. Really sad application of AI itself. Try to get better news, Vice News.

Okay, pal, try to think this, very simple. The game is a game, in can only do what it's programmed to do. The game can't do what isn't allowed, therefore the possibility is limited to the number of possible permutation. And humans, can only handle a number of permutations, and they apply it to compete with each other. Computers can handle all of the the possible permutations, it just takes time. Okay. Isn't that clear enough, they did it in chess, they did it in Go, and they'll do it in games that are disguised but actually are math.
