False, buddy, that's the assumption which where there is a tariffs, nobody would do anything and keep charging higher prices. That's not how it works. Literally there are tariffs on nearly every kind of American product going overseas, you just don't know about it because you're slow. Other countries do that to promote their own economic activities, where their people can make products that can be consumed within their countries. It forces companies to contribute jobs to the respective market which they sell the products in, that is crucial for sustainable economic activities. So try to catch up.

@Wordsalad69420 I don't know what to tell you, buddy. Those economists are unqualified amateurs. Maybe they're representative of the American people, highly ignorant. Tariffs are available everywhere, you just don't know it, ignorant Americans, etc. if it's bad, then everybody must play by the same rule, but unfortunately, they're not, China, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, all of them have some kind of tariffs on foreign goods, now they may call it by different names but the end goal of all of those policies is to reduce consumption of foreign goods that take away domestic industries. Be more educated.
