She yelled 4 lies in a 1 minute span.
0:05, swath are drowning,it's a plant, not human and it's due to the flood, why don't you build a better flood treatment system. Floods happen every year, somes worse then the others. 2005, 2006,2001. So what? Banning all airplanes gonna stop the flood?
0:13 towns that will never recover or come back? This is another lie, what Ocasio miss about science is that after a period of time, the flood will stop, that's how they got through Katrina, apparently she doesn't know much. And when the flood went down, if applied, her deal would destroy any chance of rebuilding, you can't rebuild farms or buy machines because those things emissions carbon. So yeah, nice hypocrisy.
01:01 The kids from Bronx don't suffer from asthma due to carbon, if she knows again, science, carbon emission went to the atmosphere, they do suffer from dirty living environment, and they will continue once most of the parents are out of work because her "deal" eliminate cars. And like how she removed jobs from New York, again, nice hypocrisy.
01:07 , wow, just 6 seconds apart, the lead water crisis in Flint, it's due to poor water treatment. Lack of money, you use lead pipes to do it, that's why there is lead. But her deal will probably bankrupt the city, therefore making the problem even worse. They can't build new pipes anymore, because she will ban steel. Now that is again, hypocrisy.
Does anybody who support her actually know anything?
Go back to school, small time troll

@acheybones588 How about this? Workers get paid for their labour and that alone?
Minimum wage jobs are worthless, companies don't rely on it at all. If she quits, we can find a replacement easily. Her value of labour is minimum, we don't rely on it, she can quit, the company can find a replacement.
No employees of fast food chain can work without people already paying millions to establish the fast food chains themselves.
The point is here, the workers trade their minimum labor for wages, once they've made that deal, their labor is trade for the money. That is fair, what you're asking for is free money, not for their labor, but for whatever the owner makes, despite what the owner makes correlated with his own labor put into the business. You think Bill Gates contribution and a secretary contribution to Microsoft is the same?
How about people who work full time jobs get paid what everybody would pay them?
If somebody is full and debt, has massive medical issues, cancer, all of those, and that person works minimum wage, so to keep the job, the company has to pay that person millions to pay off the debt, to treat the cancer. Does that sound fair?
You need to stop justification for stealing?
There will always be minimum wage? If nobody ever accept to work there, how can it be? Here, pal, your whole theory is based on the minimum wage is not a living wage, how is it possible if people continue to work for that? They can just quit, they would have more time. God give us 24 hours a day, we trade the time for the labor and now we trade labor for wage. You quit, you have more time, spend it better.
If everybody deems the minimum wage jobs slavery, they can just quit and the companies are forced to raise it, if those jobs are necessary. But apparently people still work for those jobs, because those people know that what they get is what they work for.
People paid enough to live, they're not paid enough to live well, that's why it's called minimum wage, minimum to live, not minimum to live well.
If a fast food chain worker can get enough to live well, what does an engineer gets? Private plane?
Your whole thesis is ridiculous, especially when it's not your own money. You can go out, open a business, pay those people more money for the same labour, you put money in, you start the business, but the workers gets the pay they "want" without caring for what you "want".

@mile_high_topher No, you're ignoring facts, moron, those countries didn't get wealthy by providing free stuff to people who don't work, they're so wealthy that they can provide it to the people who don't work, and because their population is so low.
That's the logic, here's the evidence, Vietnam, socialist country, same well fare, people lying on the ground and on the street of public hospitals, private hospitals are an essence to the middle class. And even though it's a socialist country, people pay for the medicines and treatment at their own fair price if they don't want to die? Why? Because too many people, not enough money.
Nearer example? Canada, they provide little immigration because their well fare is too high, so they can't accept more people. Clear, try to immigrate to Canada, you'll see.
You see pal, not everybody is as dumb as you, so stop trolling and go back to school

@AR-ym4zh Remove all fossil fuels in the next 12 years?
How are you gonna do that? Oil make car fuels, airplane fuels, plastic, chemicals, asphalt, synthetic materials, and energy!
You're gonna invent an electricity airplanes, which will require tons of battery, which again, require oil to made the compound? Why don't you learn actual science, pal?
They're gonna remove private transportation, so no cars, you're gonna steal everybody's vehicle? Or you're gonna buy them, which again, cost money that you don't have. So the only choice you have is to ban cars.
And the worst part
Green New Deal, providing money to all people, don't you think before you type?
2
-
@AR-ym4zh No, The Green New Deal is not easy, it's also not the bare minimum. It's a very stupid thing to do and very radical. Radical is not a good word, learn it.
Now you are falling for propaganda here, give me a source citing this dead planet if we don't give in to the crazy plan? Where any source? Actual science say that the plan is not gonna work, energy through mass scale setting up of solar panel will pollute the environment. And the efficiency of it will drop, less densely sunny area produce less energy.
You'd argue the deal isn't enough? What is your argument base on? What is your argument to start with? You didn't name any.
Stop typing propaganda lines that sound heroic but it's totally fake. Pal, if you can't give an argument, get a source, applying logic, I suggest staying silent.

@acheybones588 No, they do not rely on burger flippers, because they can easily find other burger flippers anywhere.
Here pal, it's not that they don't need people to do the job, they don't need people who requires more to do the same job because others are willing to do such jobs for the same price.
If the burger flippers are so necessary, why don't the just quit? If their labor is so valuable, the company would have to raise the wage? By your logic, shouldn't the burger flippers be paid as high as the executives?
Pal, think again, it's not the necessity of your job, it's the labor you can bring in, burger flippers provide minimum labor, anybody can do it, companies need burger flippers, but they don't need exactly those burger flippers. If all burger flippers in the world demand a higher wage, they shall raise it, but there are people who are willing to do for less, harsh reality.
First off, who says that minimum wage jobs are fine of getting a house. That is massive luxury, pal, you need to check reality.
Even the office workers in Asia can barely get a house in his lifetime, the Americans are living in a delusional bubble here. The American Dream is not for the minimum wage jobs, the theory behind minimum labor is that eventually you'll have to provide more than the minimum labor, working hard is not working the same thing over and over, working hard also includes working smart, start a business, small businesses, employ people, build a community those are the foundations of American Dream. American Dream has nothing to do with providing minimal labor and receive maximum benefits. The American Dream is for the ones who dare to take risk, American Dream is referring to how America is the land of opportunity, freedom to start business, all sorts of free trade, which you have to take risk for. It has nothing to do with just getting the lowest paying job available and still get a fine life. That is insane.
You're wrong about the cost of living, the cost of living is food and clothing, not housing and healthcare, that is massive luxury. Check Asia,
Somehow you're in the delusion in which burger flippers should be able to own houses, yeah, what reality is that?
The minimum wage is enough to cover food, but housing, really? You're living in a bubble, when you think that minimum wage is enough to cover for housing or financial stability, you're in a bubble. The same nonsensical idea where housing is able to be paid just by minimum labor is one of the many factors which caused the 2008 sub-prime mortgage crisis, which led to the 2008 financial crisis.
Keep lending money to people who are obviously unable to pay.
So yeah, you define "cost of living" too luxuriously.
Because if a burger flippers can get housing, what should an executives get? Private jet? By comparison, that's what it should be.
2
-
@acheybones588 And I am fortunate enough, I'm fortunate enough that my parents worked minimum wage once and broke through the barrier, they lived the dream.
And therefore I know the value of labor, and why I know that if I do minimum wage job, no chance of a happy life.
Get over it, your labor is worth the value people are willing to exchange for it, not what you want it to be.
Everybody would love to have a few million dollars wages, but sorry, that is slavery. You enslave the employers to pay you what they don't want to pay, for your labor, which they don't want to receive anymore.

@wmd40 Kid, Amazon doesn't pay taxes, where did you learn math? Berkeley?
What about the tax that the people work for Amazon paid? Who pays their salary?
Kid, that deal cost 44 trillions, you can remove Israel aid, it would be 10000 times less. Learn some math.
Israel takes money from their people, too, go there if that's your place. Population so few, money so great, go to China to see "insured" people, you can be insured, just that deal gives you crappy insurances.
Study something.
We send Israel money under the form of assistance, and because without them, there's no presence of US in the region filled with terrorist. Learn something, pathetic.
Oh, and we don't give corporation's money, you moron, it was their money, we took it as ours through taxation because parasites like you can't pay your dead weight. The corporations creat jobs for people that do work, 50% don't pay any taxes, they're paying more?
Go back to school if you can't get real facts or real logic. And if it sounds like I'm insulting you, snowflake, I am, you deserve to be. Despicable human being who advocate for stealing and bashing people who create most things, have some human decency.

@MrGoodguy1340 What facts, idiots, you have been lying about the facts.
1. They don't come in legally
2. When they come in illegally, they committed a crime, asylum or not, they disqualified themselves, and that's when they're criminal, the children shouldn't be put with criminals.
3. A lot of these children didn't come with parents, they came with strangers, criminals requiring fake kids to get in because individuals without family is not under harsh circumstances. They fake the family. Look at the stats.
4. Federal prisons toilets, like in these facilities, have the sink right above the toilets, you can't drink from the toilet, there's a sink right there, think a bit.
5. If you're a troll, go back to MacDonald.

@AR-ym4zh So you failed to give any study at all, let me explain why is that. it isn't real, kid. Anything relating to disaster created by climate change is rising sea level, and it will rise about 40 centimeters for the next 200 years. That saying if we keep things like this, fortunately, we're not, unlike you idiots keep screaming nonsense, we're actually doing something, just today, 170 countries signed to cut single plastic use, that is actual progress. Energy sources are being researched, solar was scientifically proved not being adequate. Nuclear is a clean energy, no emission at all, why don't you learn actual science, get actual scientific source, and stop listening to nonsensical propaganda?
There, I just educated you, you're welcome.

@acheybones588 You're arguing for the minimum wage to pay whatever the people want. That is insane, what is living wages? Cars? Houses? Colleges? If you demand that every luxury in life has to be living wages, that is the same thing. Don't mistaken luxury for necessity.
People need places to live, that is called their parent's house, or cheap rent. You're insane if you think people deserve big, grand house, own by them if they're working minimum wage.
You're mistaken luxury for necessities, and no, people who work minimum wage often doesn't pay income taxes. They pay social security tax, which they will collect more than what they pay, because their minimum wage shall not pay for what they'll receive when they're old.
Stop justification of stealing. So your question, those people don't pay taxes. So yeah, on theory, they shouldn't deserve much, but the society has been neglecting that and keep on giving them free stuff.

@Liam Mrkonja If people don't work and keep living, eventually you'll be in poverty. Welcome to math, pal. Everybody is vulnerable to poverty, except a very few, their parents might have worked enough to cover for their life. My parents aren't rich, they're just not stupid enough to be poor anymore.
Welcome to the real world.
I never held minimum wage job, the work I put in was too hard therefore my labor is much more valuable than the minimum wage job.
Harsh reality, huh? Why don't you stop thinking up nonsense to justify stealing?
Simple question. Who oppress you?
And are you oppressed or you're just worthless.
You are responsible for your actions and choices. And a bunch of the "claiming to be oppressed" people are just full of bad decisions, not misfortune.
So why don't you get back to reality? Most people have a safety-net, it's called social welfare. I'm not entitled to any of those programs, I'm paying for programs that I don't use.

@nelsonkiiru7252 And the current wage isn't fair?
The minimum wage is actually very much against poor people, they're forced to work to the point where they can suffice the minimum productivity requirements, and therefore shall have less time for improvement and advancement. Employers are forced to pay the minimum wage despite the person might not be to the necessary productivity, so employers have to put in longer hours.
Ask yourself this question, you deserve payment for your work or you deserve payment just because you want certain payment?
What is fair? What is fair? You want housing, healthcare, colleges, that's not fair, it's insane. The Americans are living in a bubble, minimum wage people with housing, minimum wage is minimum labor, minimum social status
Get a reality check, housing, healthcare, private colleges are luxurious products. The American Dream is not about how you can enslave people to pay you money just because you want to. It's built so that you can move up the ladder of society with minimal restrictions, and that means turning from employees to owners, starting businesses, that includes not being enslaved into paying wage that you don't get enough productivity in return.
Your bubble is minimum wage means a good life. That is insane, minimum wage is minimum life.

@brianlittrell797 Really? So somehow an immigrant like Omar with barely any knowledge of anything can become a congresswoman yet there aren't enough chances?
Use your brain. They're not getting chances because they're not opening to obtaining those chance, work 3 or 2 jobs for many years? If those jobs pays badly then change it, or is it they're not qualified then get a degree.
The government made the most out of social benefits so that a person can do nothing and can still live, don't pay taxes, food stamps, hospitals actually taking care of you first before charging you for it.
You think you know poverty, kid? Go to China, Vietnam, Thailand, that's poverty, you are just useless.
There isn't much chance, well, there won't be any chance for you if you keep being you. Try to be better.
