@acheybones588 How about this? Workers get paid for their labour and that alone?
Minimum wage jobs are worthless, companies don't rely on it at all. If she quits, we can find a replacement easily. Her value of labour is minimum, we don't rely on it, she can quit, the company can find a replacement.
No employees of fast food chain can work without people already paying millions to establish the fast food chains themselves.
The point is here, the workers trade their minimum labor for wages, once they've made that deal, their labor is trade for the money. That is fair, what you're asking for is free money, not for their labor, but for whatever the owner makes, despite what the owner makes correlated with his own labor put into the business. You think Bill Gates contribution and a secretary contribution to Microsoft is the same?
How about people who work full time jobs get paid what everybody would pay them?
If somebody is full and debt, has massive medical issues, cancer, all of those, and that person works minimum wage, so to keep the job, the company has to pay that person millions to pay off the debt, to treat the cancer. Does that sound fair?
You need to stop justification for stealing?
There will always be minimum wage? If nobody ever accept to work there, how can it be? Here, pal, your whole theory is based on the minimum wage is not a living wage, how is it possible if people continue to work for that? They can just quit, they would have more time. God give us 24 hours a day, we trade the time for the labor and now we trade labor for wage. You quit, you have more time, spend it better.
If everybody deems the minimum wage jobs slavery, they can just quit and the companies are forced to raise it, if those jobs are necessary. But apparently people still work for those jobs, because those people know that what they get is what they work for.
People paid enough to live, they're not paid enough to live well, that's why it's called minimum wage, minimum to live, not minimum to live well.
If a fast food chain worker can get enough to live well, what does an engineer gets? Private plane?
Your whole thesis is ridiculous, especially when it's not your own money. You can go out, open a business, pay those people more money for the same labour, you put money in, you start the business, but the workers gets the pay they "want" without caring for what you "want".

@acheybones588 No, they do not rely on burger flippers, because they can easily find other burger flippers anywhere.
Here pal, it's not that they don't need people to do the job, they don't need people who requires more to do the same job because others are willing to do such jobs for the same price.
If the burger flippers are so necessary, why don't the just quit? If their labor is so valuable, the company would have to raise the wage? By your logic, shouldn't the burger flippers be paid as high as the executives?
Pal, think again, it's not the necessity of your job, it's the labor you can bring in, burger flippers provide minimum labor, anybody can do it, companies need burger flippers, but they don't need exactly those burger flippers. If all burger flippers in the world demand a higher wage, they shall raise it, but there are people who are willing to do for less, harsh reality.
First off, who says that minimum wage jobs are fine of getting a house. That is massive luxury, pal, you need to check reality.
Even the office workers in Asia can barely get a house in his lifetime, the Americans are living in a delusional bubble here. The American Dream is not for the minimum wage jobs, the theory behind minimum labor is that eventually you'll have to provide more than the minimum labor, working hard is not working the same thing over and over, working hard also includes working smart, start a business, small businesses, employ people, build a community those are the foundations of American Dream. American Dream has nothing to do with providing minimal labor and receive maximum benefits. The American Dream is for the ones who dare to take risk, American Dream is referring to how America is the land of opportunity, freedom to start business, all sorts of free trade, which you have to take risk for. It has nothing to do with just getting the lowest paying job available and still get a fine life. That is insane.
You're wrong about the cost of living, the cost of living is food and clothing, not housing and healthcare, that is massive luxury. Check Asia,
Somehow you're in the delusion in which burger flippers should be able to own houses, yeah, what reality is that?
The minimum wage is enough to cover food, but housing, really? You're living in a bubble, when you think that minimum wage is enough to cover for housing or financial stability, you're in a bubble. The same nonsensical idea where housing is able to be paid just by minimum labor is one of the many factors which caused the 2008 sub-prime mortgage crisis, which led to the 2008 financial crisis.
Keep lending money to people who are obviously unable to pay.
So yeah, you define "cost of living" too luxuriously.
Because if a burger flippers can get housing, what should an executives get? Private jet? By comparison, that's what it should be.

@acheybones588 And I am fortunate enough, I'm fortunate enough that my parents worked minimum wage once and broke through the barrier, they lived the dream.
And therefore I know the value of labor, and why I know that if I do minimum wage job, no chance of a happy life.
Get over it, your labor is worth the value people are willing to exchange for it, not what you want it to be.
Everybody would love to have a few million dollars wages, but sorry, that is slavery. You enslave the employers to pay you what they don't want to pay, for your labor, which they don't want to receive anymore.

@acheybones588 You're arguing for the minimum wage to pay whatever the people want. That is insane, what is living wages? Cars? Houses? Colleges? If you demand that every luxury in life has to be living wages, that is the same thing. Don't mistaken luxury for necessity.
People need places to live, that is called their parent's house, or cheap rent. You're insane if you think people deserve big, grand house, own by them if they're working minimum wage.
You're mistaken luxury for necessities, and no, people who work minimum wage often doesn't pay income taxes. They pay social security tax, which they will collect more than what they pay, because their minimum wage shall not pay for what they'll receive when they're old.
Stop justification of stealing. So your question, those people don't pay taxes. So yeah, on theory, they shouldn't deserve much, but the society has been neglecting that and keep on giving them free stuff.

@Liam Mrkonja If people don't work and keep living, eventually you'll be in poverty. Welcome to math, pal. Everybody is vulnerable to poverty, except a very few, their parents might have worked enough to cover for their life. My parents aren't rich, they're just not stupid enough to be poor anymore.
Welcome to the real world.
I never held minimum wage job, the work I put in was too hard therefore my labor is much more valuable than the minimum wage job.
Harsh reality, huh? Why don't you stop thinking up nonsense to justify stealing?
Simple question. Who oppress you?
And are you oppressed or you're just worthless.
You are responsible for your actions and choices. And a bunch of the "claiming to be oppressed" people are just full of bad decisions, not misfortune.
So why don't you get back to reality? Most people have a safety-net, it's called social welfare. I'm not entitled to any of those programs, I'm paying for programs that I don't use.

@nelsonkiiru7252 And the current wage isn't fair?
The minimum wage is actually very much against poor people, they're forced to work to the point where they can suffice the minimum productivity requirements, and therefore shall have less time for improvement and advancement. Employers are forced to pay the minimum wage despite the person might not be to the necessary productivity, so employers have to put in longer hours.
Ask yourself this question, you deserve payment for your work or you deserve payment just because you want certain payment?
What is fair? What is fair? You want housing, healthcare, colleges, that's not fair, it's insane. The Americans are living in a bubble, minimum wage people with housing, minimum wage is minimum labor, minimum social status
Get a reality check, housing, healthcare, private colleges are luxurious products. The American Dream is not about how you can enslave people to pay you money just because you want to. It's built so that you can move up the ladder of society with minimal restrictions, and that means turning from employees to owners, starting businesses, that includes not being enslaved into paying wage that you don't get enough productivity in return.
Your bubble is minimum wage means a good life. That is insane, minimum wage is minimum life.
