@Polavianus A parkway is another name for a highway. And a highway often has smaller roads cross above it, making the highway the low way in those locations.

And never park on a parkway. You'll get ticketed and towed.

@juleklemmer5647 Parkway, highway, motorway, freeway... All are names used for limited-access roadways. Limited-access means road with on and off-ramps, and without driveways. If they have level crossings (intersections) there will be few of them. - US road design is a varied subject and includes many very bad ideas codified as standards.

@foxymetroid When I look it up, I come up with - NORTH AMERICAN an open landscaped highway. - or a landscaped thoroughfare. - to simplify, a road or highway passing through or alongside "pretty" scenes as opposed to unmanaged (wild growing) land.

Another fun area of ranks is the US Army, Air Force, and Marines (can't really speak to other countries on the topic) and their General-grade ranks. From lowest to highest: Brigadier General, Major General, Lieutenant General, General, and the SUPER imaginative General of the {branch}. Poor US Navy officers. Imagine being only the bowels and legs of an officer? (Rear Admiral (Lower Half))
