  1. This just helps confirm my life-long aversion to "smart" devices. I don't even like power locks on cars. Or automatic garage door openers. - I also put electrical tape over the cameras and microphones on my portable devices (because drilling them out causes "issues").

  3.  @SahilP2648  You have a solid point. However, my personal information already belonged to the highest bidder(s) before Google was a company. Google has just made the process more invasive. - But when it comes to my physical security, I cannot afford to replace most of my things, so keeping people away from them with the best manual and deterrent methods is my best recourse. - - - Also, I am insecure about my looks and my voice. Old childhood mental trauma I can't quite shake.
