  2. I remember working for UPS and finding out that they have a hard math for when to stop repairing their fleet of vehicles. Something to do with the annual cost of repairs versus the current value of the vehicle.

  3. I have had a mechanic tell me he "could" repair my car, but also that I should not put more money into it. After he explained, I agreed and took it back to trade in (for $50) on my next car.

  4.  @davidcraven277  On this specific vehicle, it has transmission AND engine leaks, as well as front end suspension parts to replace. And Ray didn't even do a frame inspection or check on anything related to the rear axle. Based on the interior, that one has had a pretty hard life.
